Far Cry 6 is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft. It is the sixth main installment of the Far Cry series for Amazon Luna, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
The game is set on Yara, a fictional Caribbean island ruled as a dictatorship by “El Presidente” Antón Castillo (portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito), who is raising his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to follow in his rule. The player takes the role of guerilla fighter Dani Rojas, attempting to topple Castillo and his regime.
Far Cry 6 was announced on July 12, 2020 at Ubisoft Forward presentation. However, two days before the announcement the first details about the game’s plot and characters were leaked online, and the Far Cry 6 trailer was posted online a day before the announcement. Ubisoft officially announced the game on July 12, 2020 as part of Ubisoft Forward by showing a cinematic trailer and announcing a release date of February 18, 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a postponement was announced – the release is scheduled after April 2021.
Microsoft Store published a new date of May 26, 2021. The developers have indicated that the game should be expected in the fiscal year (April 2021 – March 2022). On April 4, 2021, game design director Ted Timmins urged players to wait, and the team is preparing to reveal exciting content.
Looking forward to the release🤞
